NAMI says buys Toyota's St Petersburg components plant

MOSCOW, Jul 6 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Central Scientific Research Automobile and Automotive Engines Institute (NAMI) has bought the St. Petersburg's plant of Toyota, Toyota Boshoku, which used to produce seats and interior components for cars of the brand, the NAMI said on Thursday.

"The NAMI and the Industry and Trade Ministry of Russia are working to relaunch operations of the facility, which will allow us to use resources of the company to replace the imported modern car components," the institute said.

The sum of the deal was not disclosed.
